Travis meant a lot to the whole Class of 1968. I remember the good laughs. Travis is the person who taught me to play chess! And we played the game uncountable times. I was the one who threw him out the window in Coach Diehm's Driver's Ed Class as a "practical" joke. Right when I lifted Travis's legs to throw him out, Coach Diehm walked in. Then Coach paddled me in front of the class. Everyone was laughing, including me, Coach Diehm and Travis. Because back in school I was known as the goody-two-shoes, sort of a religious nerd of sorts. So, the "rev" getting paddled was a shock to everyone (including me). Travis was one of those football jocks. He was very smart besides being athletic and had such a good nature! We will dearly miss Travis for as long as we live.
