Roger Kevin Caughman, age 62, of Bayfield, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center, in Ashland, Wisconsin. He was born July 16, 1950, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, the son of Reece and Nadine (Ledford) Caughman.
He graduated from Siloam Springs High School in 1968 and from Arkansas Tech University, Russellville, Arkansas, with a degree in Recreation and Park Administration, in 1972. Kevin worked for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as Environmental Advisor for Disaster Operations on over 60 federally declared disasters including Hurricane Floyd, the Florida Hurricanes of 2006, Hurricane Katrina and the Midwest floods of 2008 and 2010. He enjoyed the great outdoors, music and cooking for family and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters, Amber (Steve) Wood, Greenbrier, Arkansas, and Mary Caughman, Russellville, Arkansas, the mother of his children, Joan Caughman, Russellville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Chanley Wood and Blakely Wood, Greenbrier, Arkansas; his mother, Nadine Caughman, Springdale, Arkansas; a sister, Anita Scism, Rogers, Arkansas; a brother, Ken Caughman, Tahlequah, Oklahoma, several nieces and nephews; and his loving partner of many years, Bridget Weber of Bayfield, Wisconsin. Kevin took a year away from work to care for Bridget after her cancer diagnosis. He was the best patient advocate, never leaving her side.
He was preceded in death by his father.

Arrangements are by the Bratley Funeral Home, in Washburn, Wisconsin.
