Comments:

Since graduating from SS and Fayetteville (U of A), I traveled to Europe, and then immigrated to Australia (5 yrs) - where I married my 1st wife, returned to Arkansas (3 yrs), Oklahoma (1 yr), then off to Illinois (6 yrs), and Colorado (20 yrs). I married Laura - a clinical social worker - in Colorado (honeymooned in Cancun & traveled to Macchu Pichu, Peru) and eventually we moved to Japan (5 yrs). This was SOoooo much fun, a perfect job - where, as a professor of psychology for Univ. of Maryland - Asian Division, I had teacher's holidays & off for the summer! We traveled to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and I worked a summer in China. We then returned to the states and settled in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Today, I take care of my travel addiction (approved by Laura) every few years with short trips (Indonesia, more China). No military service, but I worked for the Dept. of State in Baghdad, Iraq, 2011-2012. It was a serious/fun job - travel by helo to 12 hospital clinics around Iraq, we provided hospital services for the American embassy. Just returned from Tibet, 2015.

School Story:

Attended University of Arkansas after graduating from Siloam Springs - a useless degree in Art (but I knew how to pronounce Van Gogh). Returned to get dual degree in Psychology and Native American Studies in 1980 (anyone remember I'm from the Choctaw Tribe?). I completed my MSc. in Counselor Education in 1983 from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville; and then my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Denver in 1992. After we moved to Japan, I finished another BA in Asian Studies. I've always been proud that I was well-rounded and remained grounded in my service to others - employed as a clinician, then as an academician, and back to a clinician - back and forth. My specialty has always been in multi-cultural psychology, where I have found a home at the Santa Fe Indian School. Summer of 2015, I was awarded an Honorary Professorship from University of Chengdu, School of Clinical Medicine (I've been moonlighting as an editor for their medical research publications).

Hey Loren, thanks for helping put this together. ...So.... you're in the Jordan family. My father's Irish side settled in north central Arkansas & Missouri. My mother's side (the Choctaw) probably met some of your Jordan's in Oklahoma - but not in a friendly way. ha ha
