HARRISBURG -- Ralph Edward Harp, 52, of Harrisburg, formerly of Wynne, died Saturday, Aug. 2, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
Born in Siloam Springs, he was a pharmacist for Kroger pharmacy in Jonesboro. He graduated from Southwestern State College of Pharmacy in Weatherford, Okla., in 1972.
The owner of R&M Manufacturing, Harp designed and manufactured air conditioner grilles and held a patent on a cold seal machine. He was a duck carver who won the Chattanooga Wood Carving Award. He was a member of Harrisburg First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Machelle Harp of the home; three sons, Andrew Gene Harp, Wesley Allen McKee and Kaleb Edward Harp, all of Harrisburg; four daughters, Jana Marie Harp of Chesapeake, Va., Katrina Ann Harp, Erika Machelle McKee and Amanda Nicole Harp, all of Harrisburg; his parents, F. Eugene and Virginia Marie Harp of Siloam Springs; two brothers, Bob Harp of Pea Ridge and Ron Harp of Siloam Springs; and one granddaughter, Kaylee Brianne Harp of Harrisburg.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harrisburg First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tom Sullinger officiating. Burial will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
